Who am I anyway, and what is this page all about?
I am a retired engineer and even after all these years I still am interested in what is going on in the world. I am not a professional writer or journalist. Even though my career was spent in the transportation industry, I do not have credentials or training in the fields of energy or petroleum. Truthfully, I might not qualify as much more than an interested observer.
My thoughts on the subject of Peak Oil, therefore, are the viewpoint of an average citizen who is concerned about the difficulties our society faces, relating to energy supply, in the not-too-distant future and who wants to openly discuss those concerns in hopes of bringing the subject into the public dialogue.
